Hair Comes the Bride
Most of the designer-named hair accessories for brides are very pricey. When my daughter bought her gown, the salon was having a trunk show for bridal accessories. A single organza flower was going to be $300, a bit over our budget for this item! Doing an internet search for a less expensive option, we came across "Hair Comes the Bride". The selection is vast and the prices are quite affordable. We were very pleased with the quality of the pieces from this company and my daughter actually wore the paisley inspired ones above.

where inspiration happens
Thank goodness for the laptop computer! Instead of a bulky desktop modem and a tangled heap of cords, we can work in a clean, unencumbered environment.
This is where I write Bridal Buzz from Wed Event Design
and Tales of a Golf Gal. In the keeping room off of my kitchen, with my 3 pups close by, and a view of the pond out back for inspiration.
ps... the photograph above my desk is of my daughter and son in law at their HHI wedding, taken by the talented W. Scott Chester, listed on my sidebar.

An awesome Aussie wine
Whole Foods Market has a wonderful wine section with a vast selection of wines from all over the world. Here's my newest find... a gold winner at the International Chardonnay challenge:
MadFish Unwooded Chardonnay
Tasting Notes review
"Margaret River is one of the world's magical areas for chardonnay, producing powerfully intense wines of great length and elegance. They take longer than their Australian peers to evolve, but when they do, they are universally agreed to be Australia's finest.
This wine is a fresh and easy drinking West Australian white that is a perfect partner with food. Combined with many layers of fruit flavors it displays a lingering, lively dry finish."
The taste is not a typical chardonnay, but a combination of an unwooded chardonnay with a splash of citrus mimicking a Savignon Blanc. Crisp and perfect for the warm spring days ahead!
Priced at $16 to $19 a bottle, this wine is a nice treat for everyday or a wonderful choice for your wedding reception.

you'll be green with envy... I have a winner!
Top o' the morning to ya and thank you to everyone who visited my blog and "got the word out" about my first giveaway.
It's time to choose the winner of the monogrammed note cards...
Sorry, no Random.org for me! You may not know, but I am Scrabble obsessed. My husband and I have a running game on the kitchen table, when one game ends we start another. I've thought about a nice centerpiece, but then where would we play? So Scrabble centerpiece it is! Anyway, I digress... back to business.
To pick the winner, I assigned you each a letter from the Scrabble bag. (this worked because I only had 20 entries). For "followers only" I put in 1 letter for you, if you added my button and blogged about the contest you got 2 more, so some of you had a total of 3 letters with better odds!
I know, you probably all want to know what letter you were but I can't go there.
So, with the assigned letters back in the bag, I closed my eyes and picked... D
assigned to... Snooty Primadona!
Congratulations Snooty, you are one lucky girl (are you Irish?)! You'll have to let me know which two card styles you would like and what monogram or name you'd like printed on them. I will need your address, but you can email that to me.
Thanks again to all that entered and posted my button!
Stay tuned for my next giveaway. I'm thinking of...
